Registration is made via e-mail, fax or internet registration form. The contract is concluded by the confirmation of the EIfEB.
Contract partner
If the seminar participant is employee, managing director or partner of a company, the company becomes a contractual partner. In the other cases the participants themselves.
Seminar fees and due date
The amount of the seminar fees will be announced with the tender, and reductions for members of the VDB or other organisations with which a corresponding agreement exists may be used if the individual requirements are met.
The seminar fee is due 14 days before the seminar starts. For short-term seminar registrations, i.e. for registrations that take place shorter than 14 days before the start of the seminar, the seminar fee is due on the first day of the event.
In the event that the seminar fees are subject to the statutory VAT obligation, these will be charged.
Note: Due to the sometimes drastically increased costs in the area of our partners and suppliers, we must also reserve the right to price adjustments.
Cancellation – deadlines and cancellation fees
Up to six calendar weeks at the latest before the seminar starts, the registration can be cancelled free of charge. A handling fee of € 25.00 will be charged for the cancellation.
In case of late cancellation, cancellation fees will be charged as follows:
Cancellation date 28-41 days before the seminar begins: 30% of seminar fees
Cancellation date 15-27 days before the seminar starts: 60% of seminar fees
In case of late cancellation, 100% of the seminar fees must be paid.
Form of cancellation
The declaration of cancellation requires the text form. Cancellation by phone is not possible. A fax or e-mail is sufficient.
In the event that the participant becomes a contractual partner, the participant can send a substitute participant to the seminar. However, his payment obligation to the VDB remains.
Cancel seminars by the organizer
It is requested to understand that the cancellation of seminars, e.g. if the number of participants is too small, cancellation of lecturers, hotel closure, force majeure or similar reasons be reserved. In this case, the organiser makes every effort to notify the cancellation as timely as possible. If the organiser has to cancel a seminar, he will immediately refund the paid participant fees. Further claims are excluded, except in cases of intentional or grossly negligent behaviour of employees or other vicarious agents of the organiser.
Hotel booking
For the seminars held in a hotel, the organizer usually blocks a limited number of rooms. The room reservation must be made by the participants themselves on their own account. The participant must point out to the hotel that he is a participant of the seminar.
The negotiated room rates are based on the price basis of the current year. It cannot be ruled out that a lower price will be achieved when booking via other reservation systems, as they book larger allotment units in the respective hotels. Due to a seasonal low hotel utilization, short-term special offers can also show cheaper prices in individual cases than the VDB was able to enforce in advance for the participant. The call-off periods for the limited room alloties must be observed, since after the deadline, the rooms are usually no longer assigned at special conditions. It is also important to make sure that the participant relies on an event of the VDB in order to receive the special price from the hotel.
Seminar location
The seminar location will be announced in good time.
Accompanying work documents
The participant will receive accompanying working documents for the seminar.
The organiser is not liable for the content of the seminar lectures or the accompanying work documents, unless there is an intentional or grossly negligent fault of the organiser or a vicarious agent of the organiser.
Copyright
The seminar documents issued are protected by copyright and may not be reproduced without the consent of the organiser, not in part. The documents will be provided exclusively to the participants.
Records
During seminars/events, it is not permitted to produce images or sound recordings.
Data protection
The data transmitted to the organiser is stored exclusively for use by the organiser. It is not passed on to third parties.
Proof of activity
If proof of required professional experience is a prerequisite for issuing a certificate (see e.g. Prerequisite for lightning protection specialist) is to provide appropriate proof on the part of the applicant, from which it is beyond doubt that the participants have at least five years of professional experience and timely professional activities in the field of lightning protection.
Certificates of participation
In the event of a successful conclusion, which is determined by an examination, the participants receive a personal certificate upon fulfilment of the aforementioned requirements, if the requirements are met, a certificate of participation.
In the event that a required examination is not passed, it can be repeated once for a fee specified in the registration form.
In principle, the participants are not entitled to issue a second font of the certificate. In justified exceptional cases, a second copy will be issued for a fee specified in the registration form.
The claim of the participants to surrender the certificate or the certificate of participation only arises with the complete equalisation of the seminar fees.
